The CR-X platform offers a general purpose, high-speed rating engine with account plan aggregation. It includes a generic open architecture reference database structure. The rating function prices a call, solely based on variables within the call record. Subsequent re-pricing may occur if volume discounts, allowances, etc. are applied to aggregated call volumes.

Pricing and Discounting

CR-X is able to rapidly aggregate records by bill cycle against call type account and plan – calculating discounts and allowances and, if required, re-rate all calls after allowances and discounts are applied to ensure accounting accuracy. All of the necessary summarizations can be performed during this process.

The extended reference table required for pricing and discounting is compatible to the rating engine model and is managed in an equivalent manner.

The pricing and Discounting Framework also supports comparative analysis of a primary billing system’s outputs if the intended purpose is as an independent auditing engine.

Interconnect Accounting

The Interconnect Accounting Framework performs functions such as Call Detail Record validation, Identify Customer, Identify Supplier, Rate Calls for Customers, Rate Calls for Suppliers, Produce Daily Customer Revenue, Produce Daily Supplier Costs, Update Week-to-Date, Month-to-Date & Year-to-Date Customer Revenue & Supplier Revenue. This framework provides, in a highly modular and flexible architecture, the core functionality for many interconnect environments.
