Data Migration

CR-X migration capability allows reduced time, risk and cost of moving to new applications. This is achieved by exploiting CR-X's flexible, code-free, high-performance, format-conversion features.

During the migration of major system functionality from one platform to another, many challenging data transfer and synchronization activities must take place many of which have critical time windows. CR-X provides a unified approach to provide wide-ranging migration support services within a single, easy-to-configure, small-footprint package.

Database Connectivity

The overlapping capability of CR-X and RDBMS architectures offers opportunities for hybrid solutions. CR-X actively supports interoperability with compliant Relational Data Base structures through native JDBC/ODBC connectors which perform selective record extracts. In addition, CR-X provides direct RDBMS table connectivity for input and output, as well as dynamic access to reference data.

CR-X Application Flexibility

The breadth of CR-X solutions can be demonstrated by efficient emulation of traditional COBOL procedural record processing as well as Web service-oriented architecture (SOA).

CR-X in Web Services Context

A CR-X 'project' can consist of any number of autonomous applications or 'tasks'. These tasks can be independently scheduled and can be connected via synchronous or asynchronous connectors. CR-X input and output can be connected to Web URLs to respond asynchronously and high speed to particular messages. XML interfacing can either be via detailed data dictionary configuration or via pre-built HTML / XML adaptors.
